WNN Week 6

In WNN Week 6, I helped with the Sports, Community, and Weather segment. The process of writing our script was to be creative and try not to make every on camera host sound the same. Writing something that flows and has good transitions to introduce the upcoming segments. A factor in writing it was trying to get the pieces to all come together. To succeed in front of the camera, it is really important to make eye contact and have correct body language. Something that the people behind the camera can do is; try to make the talent comfortable. What the people behind the camera can do to make the people in front of the camera succeed is endless. But the major factor is communication. To make the production neat, the producers and the talent should have a solid form of communication.

WNN Week 5

In WNN's week 5 production, we took responsibility of the Special Segment. In our time, We shared some iPhone tips. If there was anything that I took away from this week was how to incorporate props into the production. How much better the quality is if we use our own things. A challenge we had was how to put things together. How we were planning the sequencing. To overcome these things we planned out how the segment was going to go. Then planned the production around it. In my opinion, I think that the production value did increase. When looking at the camera angles and how well she shots flowed together, it made lots of sense. Next week I plan to bring up the production value.

WNN Week 4

For the school news segment, The segments were well put together and went well with the voice over. I think that the audio for the outside interviews should be somewhere that there is less wind. But overall it went very well in the end In the weather and sports segment. The overall production went up in my opinion. The interviews were very professional and had great transitions for each of the Hui's. The sports segment felt very energetic. Even though it is not in their control if the gym is open or not, it would have been much more interesting if the background was the inside of the gym. But you could see all of the effort that was made and it really made a difference. I think that our special segments scrips was well written. I think that If we had more time to memorize the script then it would have came out much better. The lighting was well lit and made the props really stand out.

WNN Week 3

WNN January 26, 2018 from Kapaa Warriors MEDIA on Vimeo.

This weeks production was done doing Weather, News, and Sports. Covering the upcoming games and events. The challenge this week was choosing a setting and how to contribute a background that would look nice with the weather. I was able to help and support all that I could in our own team. I was able to give opinions on the other teams. My favorite segment this week was the School news. The school news this week had better quality and incorporated lots of other teachers and students around the school.

In the week 2 production, I ended up being in the same segment. The production value decreased in my opinion because of the video quality and the people on camera. The factors that i've dealt with is the timing of the production. How late things came up to be. This week i've attempted to take things more seriously. Next week i'll try to make more improvement in the quality of the segment.

WNN is Kapaa highs Warrior News Now. For next week I plan to work on a different segment and work with different people. I think it will also expand my experience. The biggest challenge was from the audio and the wind going into the microphone. What we did to overcome them was to choose different areas and find places that did not have overpowering wind. The editing of the audio was a major factor in the quality.
